I have been working as a freelance fixer in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on various media production projects since 2003.
I work quickly and efficiently, I am proactive and responsive to the needs of the job, I am resourceful and take responsibility to deliver, and I work with precision.
Experiences with filming in Dubai include: construction of Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), construction of the Dubai metro, dredging and construction of the Jebel Ali Palm, operations in Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone (one of the largest and busiest ports in the world), training of the Dubai Police Force and Special Protection Squad, Dubai’s Emergency Services and other projects.
I have also been involved in a number of investigative reporting assignments for the Associated Press, Reuters, Voice of America, BBC World and a variety of international newspapers and agencies.
I know Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates intricately and I speak fluent Arabic. I am able to handle all logistics on the ground and have good contacts in the governmnet and private sector to process permits to film and access to locations.
